There is a rumor of a message board called "Jigoku Tsushin", which can only be accessed at midnight. It is said that if a person posts his or her grudge against someone there, the Jigoku Shojo will appear and take the person to Hell.

Jigoku Shojo aka Emma Ai always advices her contacts that in exchange for her sending the target to Hell, the client’s soul will also be taken to Hell after his or her death.

Aoyagi Ritsuka, who mysteriously lost his memories and developed an alternate personality two years ago, suddenly meets Soubi who tells him he was a close friend of his departed brother Seimei. Soubi also mentions that Ritsuka’s true name is "Loveless" and Seimei asked him to protect Ritsuka.

Soon they are both engulfed in a battle using elaborate and beautifully phrased spells. WTH is going on and what happened two years ago?

About Ahiru, a duck that transformed into a human girl and takes ballet classes. She admires her mysterious classmate Mytho, who is very reserved and never talks. Soon she finds out that Mytho has lost his heart, which has been shattered into tiny shards. Each shard contains Mytho's different emotions which can affect the beholder in strange ways.

But as she continues to search for the missing pieces, a bigger puzzle entertwines with the story. She finds out more about the town, who she is and who took Mytho's heart to begin with.
