Supposedly related to the story of Snow White, but instead of dwarfs, Himeno Awayuki gains bishies as guardians. Each guardian has the power of a particular element: Hayate, the Knight of Wind; Sasame, the Knight of Sound; Kei, the Knight of Light; Go, the Knight of Fire; Mannen, the Knight of Ice; Hajime, the Knight of Water; finally Shin, the Knight of Leaf and Plants.

They tell her that besides being her guardians, she has to transform to Pretear to rid the world of evil. What exactly is going to happen?

About Ahiru, a duck that transformed into a human girl and takes ballet classes. She admires her mysterious classmate Mytho, who is very reserved and never talks. Soon she finds out that Mytho has lost his heart, which has been shattered into tiny shards. Each shard contains Mytho's different emotions which can affect the beholder in strange ways.

But as she continues to search for the missing pieces, a bigger puzzle entertwines with the story. She finds out more about the town, who she is and who took Mytho's heart to begin with.
