One day the world seems normal, then the next second, the world as we know it is ... gone?
What would you do if everyone was able to hear your thoughts without you knowing? Odagiri Joe as Kenichi, a satorare, has lived his entire life and thoughts known throughout the world. Besides not being able to keep any secrets, Kenichi has a hard time making friends as well as finding a loved one.
Takes place in an alternate universe where Britain has become a superpower because of their Secret Intelligence Service. This SIS consists of "special" humans who have the power to use paper to transform and create objects out of thin air. Many are out to attain this special force and get them on their side. But who are these "Paper" users?
For hundreds of years, the same group of children have been seen numerous times in photographs and paintings. They seem to not have aged all this time and act more like adults.
One day an orphan, Helga, escapes from her orphanage and passes by Toma, a talented young man who helps her escape by hiding her at his house. Though she is caught, he becomes curious and tries to find out more. He is shown some strange drawings done by Helga since she was young: those of the fantastic children. Does she know who they are and is Helga in any way related to them?
Kyon, a freshman in highschool, became interested in his classmate Suzumiya Haruhi’s strangeness when she mentions that she only wants to befriend aliens, time travelers, sliders, or espers. Soon Haruhi and Kyon, forcefully, form a new club called SOS Brigade along with Asahina Mikuru (Time Traveler), Koizumi Itsuki (Esper) and Nagato Yuki (Alien) who, unknowingly, all turn out to be just the people Haruhi wants to meet.
All three tells Kyon that Haruhi is basically God who has the power to change the world according to her wishes without her knowing, of course.
What would you do if you met your older self, who came from another dimension, and told you "you’re pathetic"? He tells you that your best girl friend (or is it his girl) will die in order to save you and the entire world in the future and you cannot do a thing about it.

A young girl, Rekka, awakens from a dream to find a halo of light over her head. She is welcomed by a group of winged girls, and becomes a member of the Haibane Alliance, the group who protects the walled town of Guri.
Who are the Haibanes and why did Rekka become one? As she continues her life in the peaceful town of Guri, the mystery surrounding her new friends is soon unraveled.
